Best in class features: Video o 450MHz Bandwidth, DC coupled inputs and outputs, for the most demanding video applications. o 8 Channels of YPbPr, YCbCr or RGsB video. o 3 Channels of composite to component video conversion. o 8 Component video zones which can be switched to any of the 11 input channels. Audio o Volume, Balance, Bass, Treble and 5 Band Equalizer control of analog AND digital audio. o Volume range: 0dB to -99.5dB, and full mute, with 0.5dB step resolution. o Tone / EQ ranges: +20dB to -20dB, with 0.5dB step resolution. o Gain settings (+24dB to -99.5dB) for each input, seperate gains available for digital and analog. o Lip sync delay from 0 to 170ms, per zone and/or per input. o Analog audio is automatically converted to digital audio, digital audio is automatically converted to analog audio. o Both analog and digital audio is available simultaneously on the outputs. o 8 coax digital inputs and 8 optical digital inputs w/auto conversion to coax for easy integration with cable boxes. Control o TCP/IP, Bi-directional RS-232 and RS-422, Front panel IR sensor, Rear panel IR jack. o TCP/IP and RS-232 / RS-422 share the same protocol. Protocol allows for polled or instant update modes. Polled or instant update modes are settable on a command by command basis. o Over 350 discrete IR codes! Features & Specifications Features: True ultrawide bandwidth: DC-450MHz To correctly display sharp images at 1080p60, a switch or distribution amplifier must be able to pass at least the third harmonic of the video signal, and the third harmonics of a 1080p60 can be as high as 280MHz. With a -3db bandwidth of 450MHz, the Clarity Elite effortlessly passes 1080p60 and all it's third harmonics. Volume, Balance, Bass, Treble and a 5 band graphic equalizer on each zone. In many cases the need for an audio receiver can be eliminated by using the audio features of the Clarity Elite. Audio and tone control are adjustable in 0.5dB steps, and all allow direct or relative adjustments (Ex: Set the volume to an absolute -12.5dB, or increase it by 3.0dB). The tone controls have a range of +/-20dB. Analog audio, digital audio, optical audio, all automatically converted. It makes no difference whether your audio comes in through the analog inputs, digital coax inputs, or digital optical inputs, all inputs are converted to both analog and digital audio, and analog audio and digital audio are both available on the outputs. Analog is converted to digital, and digital is converted to analog. Optical inputs are available for the newer cable boxes that have only optical connections for their digital audio outputs. Note: The Clarity Elite does not downmix DTS or 5.1 Dolby audio. When DTS or 5.1 Dolby audio is detected, it is passed straight through from the S/PDIF input to the S/PDIF outputs. Volume and tone controls work on the digital inputs and outputs. For the extreme in ultra-quiet audio and lowest possible distortion, you can input and output digital audio, completely bypassing the analog sections. No extra conversions are done, and you still have volume, balance, bass, treble and 5 band equalizer controls available on each zone. Adjustable gain settings on each input To balance the different levels of audio coming from different pieces of equipment, each audio input has a full range gain adjustment. The adjustment range is: +24dB to -99.5dB, or full mute, in 0.5dB increments. You can have seperate settings for each input, and a seperate setting for analog and digital inputs. Full audio and video breakaway Full audio and video breakaway is available on the front panel, and through serial, TCP/IP and IR control. Switch just the audio channels or just the video channels of any zone. Watch the game while listening to CD's! D.C. coupled video inputs and outputs D.C. coupled inputs and outputs are usually found only in professional, or passive (relay based) switches. In the Clarity Elite, D.C. coupling is used throughout the video section. A completely black screen is passed with no field tilt distortions, as well as a completely white screen. By using a D.C. coupled design, we've also eliminated the "roll" that sometimes occurs on A.C. coupled switches when the screen changes quickly from very dark to very bright (or vice versa). Adjustable mute switch delays The Clarity Elite supports video / audio blanking during switching, sometimes called "Fade to Black". Each zone can be individually set to blank its video or mute its audio for an adjustable amount of time during switching. This can help eliminate the "rolling" that sometimes occurs when quickly switching between two un-synchronized video sources. The adjustable audio mute delays can also help eliminate the "thumps" that sometimes occur when digital audio is switched quickly. Complete control is given over all switching delays on the Clarity Elite, not only is each zone individually adjustable, but each channel of each zone is individually adjustable. For instance you can have Zone 1's video blank for 200ms, while the digital audio only mutes for 10ms, and yet have analog audio switch with no delays. Zone 2's timings can be set differently. All timings can be adjusted to match the needs of any piece of equipment you have connected to the Clarity Elite. Three composite to component transcoders Perfect for security cameras for the front door or security gates. Or great for live crowds shots at a disco / dance club. There's no need to run an extra composite cable to every monitor to display composite. Composite video is converted to standard 480i component video. A multitude of control options The Clarity Elite supports TCP/IP, RS-232, RS-422 control. It has an IR sensor on the front panel, and a hardwired IR jack on the rear panel. Control done right with K.I.S.S.™ (Keep It Simple Serial™) Available through the TCP/IP port, or the RS-232/RS-422 port, Zektor's K.I.S.S.™ is one of the easiest to use, serial port protocols, on the market. Yet the extensive bi-directional command set allows total control over the Clarity Elite. Easily operate the Clarity Elite in either a Master / Slave (polled) mode, or a fully Asynchronous (push) mode. All commands are bi-directional and can be programmed individually to send an immediate update on change, or to internally log their changes to be read later by polling. By requesting a bitmap of changed parameters, polled commands are made much simpler by allowing you to read only the commands that have changed. There's no need to "dump everything" just to see if a zone had been remapped. Opto-isolated, polarity insensitive, modulated or unmodulated, hardwired IR Jack By opto-isolating the input jack, we've eliminated many of the grounding problems associated with hardwared IR. The IR jack accepts a wide range of voltages, from 3 to 15 volts, which can be positive or negative. The IR jack accepts modulated or unmodulated signals. Over 350 discrete IR codes There are discrete codes to map any input to any zone. Each zone has their own discrete volume up/down codes, as well as four volume presets. There are discrete codes to sequence through inputs, as well as mute and unmute zones. If there is a need for a IR code, it probably exists in the Clarity Elite. Auto dimming display with adjustable LED intensities The LED indicators can be set to Bright, Dim, Auto Dim, or Off. The Auto Dim mode will fade the LEDs from the Bright setting to the Dim setting about 4 seconds after a input is selected. The intensity levels of the front panel LEDs are all adjustable, allowing the Clarity Elite to be used in a wide range of lighting conditions. The front panel can even be made to gently dim its front panels lights to 'off', when the front panel is not in use. Rack mountable metal enclosure (2RU) Enclosed in a heavy gauged, steel chassis, with a beautiful brushed aluminum front panel. With fully adjustable front panel LED intensities, the Clarity Elite easily integrates into any existing home theater environment. Specifications Video
